The McGill Data Mining and Security (DMaS) Lab aims at developing scalable data mining and machine learning systems for efficiently extracting hidden knowledge from large volumes of data, with the considerations of security, privacy, social, policy, and economic issues. Researchers in DMaS are broadly interested in the areas of data mining, machine learning, information security, privacy protection, services computing, cloud computing, and knowledge management. The  research results have been widely applied to solve various real-life problems in health informatics, information integration, (cyber)crime investigation, authorship analysis, assembly clone search, malware analysis, transportations, building energy consumption simulation, and fashion communication.
